  • Owls, hawks, eagles, parrots… birds were considered sacred in all Nahua cultures. The hummingbird, or huitzilin, was especially revered as the courier of thoughts and wishes.

    Inspired by the Pre-Columbian codexes, master illustrator G.M. Meave has beautifully reimagined the iconic creature.
