  • Ruler of the north and of autumn, The Black Tezcatlipoca represents darkness, conflict, temptation and death. The most feared of the Tezcatlipocas, he carries a polished obsidian stone. This black mirror reflects the soul of the deceased and helps determine their fate in the afterlife.

    Inspired by the Nahua codexes, master illustrator G.M. Meave has elegantly reinterpreted the iconic deity.
